This is a very interesting film, which is something of a litmus test about how progressive Denmark is, as compared to the usa. This kind of song would never be broadcast on television in the usa. The usa is too caught up in it's bitter rancor about longstanding cultural forms. In the usa, form is more important than substance, it seems. The look on the boy Fabian's face as he sings boldly about his love for his fathers is so refreshing. It's a living example of how that kind of domestic situation can work well for a child.
